چکیده
Experts confirm that 85% of the world’s population is expected to live in cities by 2050. Therefore, should be prepared satisfy needs their citizens and provide best services. The idea a city future commonly represented smart city, which more efficient system optimizes its resources services, through use monitoring communication technology. Thus, one steps towards sustainability for around world make transition into cities. Here, sensors play an important role system, as they gather relevant information from citizens, corresponding networks transfer real-time. Although these diverse, application can categorized six different groups: energy, health, mobility, security, water, waste management. Based on groups, this review presents analysis are typically used efforts toward creating Insights about applications systems provided, well main opportunities challenges faced when making city. Ultimately, process not only urban infrastructure, but importantly how new sensing capabilities digitization developments improve quality life. Smarter communities those socialize, adapt, invest transparent inclusive community engagement technologies based local regional societal values. Cyber security disruptions privacy remain chief vulnerabilities.
